Initially the client wanted to just replace the cooktop, but with some clever ideas put forward by the designer, Barry Ternes, the brief soon grew. Enlargement of the kitchen area to allow traffic flow from the entry of the house to the family living area with out walking through the kitchen was a prime consideration. This was achieved by removal of the existing pantry and moving the doorway to the dining room. The final outcome was complemented by Tasmanian oak cabinetry, slump glass splashback and coiran benchtop.
